MACUDA Dallas/Fort-Worth presents its annual branch report for the cultural year 2022-2023. This provides an overview of the activities, achievements, and challenges faced by our branch over the past year.
Our branch has kept the commitment to play a vital role in promoting cultural awareness, organizing traditional events, and fostering a sense of community among all Mankon Citizens residing in the Dallas/Fort-Worth Metroplex. Our branch experienced a steady growth in membership throughout the year, with over 55 registered members of date.
We implemented various strategies to attract new members, including word-of-mouth, social media campaigns, community outreach etc. Our monthly meetings are held every Second Saturday of the month from 7PM-9PM local time, we follow a rotating group hosting schedule with members forming groups of 5-6 families within the same zip-code.
This year marked the beginning of a new leadership team led by President Fru Nchunkie and Vice President Franklin Gabila, elected on November 12, 2022. We celebrated with members during child births, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and unfortunately celebration of life for departed.
MACUDA DFW joined the entire Mankon Community in the Nikwi Celebration from December 15, 2022 via livestream from Royal Palace of Mankon. MACUDA DFW organized a celebration of the Life and Legacy of Fo Angwafo III.
Despite the challenges, the MACUDA DFW branch had a productive and impactful year. We remained committed to our mission of promoting cultural awareness and a sense of belonging to the people of Mankon living in the United States.
