Full Report

It is with great joy that I welcome you to the MACUDA DMV Branch—a vibrant, committed family united by the spirit of Mankon heritage and community. Our meeting is scheduled for the first Saturday of the month as from 7:00 PM either at the Muma's home, Lanham, Maryland or hosted by a member at their home.

Our branch continues to grow in strength and impact. As of June 2025, we have over 600 members, with an average of 150 participants at our major events.

We warmly invite all Mankon sons and daughters in the DMV and neighboring states to join us as we preserve our culture, build relationships, and serve our people. Reach out to our PRO via 240-605-4869 for more information.

Our activities include the Easter Egg Hunt, Family BBQ, Back-to-School drives, Children's conferences, prison outreach, winter coat drives, and cultural dance exhibition. These events create opportunities for community engagement and cultural preservation.

Our biggest ongoing project is the MACUDA DMV Multipurpose Cultural Center. A Building Committee has been created to oversee the process.

Each member contributes a $500 levy toward the center. In 2025, we hosted an impactful Health Seminar with Dr.

Nche Zama, partnered with Mash Fire Nation for a children's health and wellness event and hosted a financial expert for Tax matters. MACUDA DMV also supported over 120 children in Mile 8, Mankon with educational supplies and partnered with MACUDA Yaounde to visit and provide food supplies and assistance to Mankon children at the Yaounde Kondengue prison.

MACUDA DMV also took the initiative to visit and share gift packages with its members incarcerated in Maryland. MACUDA DMV supports all national projects and has proven itself at the 2024 national convention as it championed the Ngulung water project.

As long as it is for Development in Mankon and the general improvement and well-being of humankind, MACUDA DMV will provide its support.
